This is the 2011 Birmingham Area Parade of Ponds “mini-pond tour” event. This self guided tour consists of a limited number of water features throughout the Birmingham area. The pond tour is a great way for people to experience the water feature lifestyle. If you have ever thought of jumping in and getting your feet wet with a pond of your own, or just plain enjoy seeing something different, this event is for you! Best of all the tour is Free. Just choose which features you want to see and you are set to guide yourself through a “mini-tour” of area water features. Once you are done with the tour, stop by our Water Garden Weekend location at Liberty Stone and Landscape Supply and hang out for a seminar, as well as aquatic plant and fish sales. Enjoy!

Tour the Pond Stops: Choose from any of the Pond Tour Stop addresses listed below. The tour is self guided and will be available for viewing from the hours of 9-3. We ask that everyone please respect the privacy and property of the Pond Tour Stop’s residence, as they are kind enough to show to the public. If you encounter a home owner during the tour, be sure to thank them for their efforts in displaying their water feature. In years past we have sold Tour Booklets in effort to raise money for local charitable organizations. This year we are asking anyone who is interested in donating, to direct their donations to the recent Tornado relief efforts.

Water Garden Weekend: Once you are done with the Pond Tour, stop by Liberty Stone and Landscape Supply and hang out with us! From 9-5 we will be having a seminar series, aquatic plant and fish sales, as well as some drawings for really neat water garden giveaway items. There will be food and refreshments too! Start from: Riverchase Galleria Hoover, AL 35244

1. Head east toward AL-3 S/US-31 S - 0.1 mi

2. Turn left at AL-3 N/Montgomery Hwy/US-31 N - 0.2 mi

3. Merge onto I-459 N via the ramp to Atlanta/Gadsden/I-65 - 9.7 mi

4. Take exit 23 toward Liberty Pkwy - 0.4 mi

5. Turn left at Overton Rd (Co Road 62) - 1.3 mi

6. Turn right at Buckthorn Rd - 0.2 mi

Arrive at: Buckthorn Rd Irondale, AL 35210

*Please Note* The 5145 Overton Road address is the mailing address. The Physical address is located off of Buckthorn Road. Once on Co. Road 62/Overton, go 1.3 mi and you will see a green "Liberty Stone" sign on your right. Turn right at the sign, Buckthorn Road, and go 2 blocks to Liberty Stone Center.
